A Celebration of Divine Love, Joy & Inner Awakening
Janmashtami is not merely a celebration of the birth of Lord Krishna; it is a celebration of the awakening of divine consciousness within us—the birth of love, joy, compassion, and inner freedom. To understand Krishna is not only to seek Him in temples and sacred images, but to experience the celebration of life that He represents—a life filled with love, music, wisdom, compassion, spontaneity, and profound awareness.
Krishna teaches us not to turn away from life, but to embrace it with awareness, love, courage, and joy. His flute becomes a call to enter the silence within, where the noise of the mind gradually fades and the heart begins to experience a deeper harmony.
The sacred night of Janmashtami reminds us that even in the deepest darkness, a new light can arise within. When the ego becomes quiet, the mind becomes still, and the heart opens in love, Krishna is born within us.
Janmashtami at Shri Shri Gita Society
At the ashram campus of Shri Shri Gita Society, Janmashtami is celebrated with deep devotion, love, spiritual joy, and cultural vibrance. The sacred atmosphere comes alive through Bhajans, Kirtans, meditation, prayers, Abhishekam, Jhulan Utsav, Krishna Janma celebrations, and Prasadam.
The celebration is not limited to an outer festival; it is an invitation to experience love, devotion, compassion, selfless service, and oneness in everyday life. Through this sacred celebration, the Society encourages seekers to discover a deeper dimension of consciousness and allow spirituality to become a living experience.
Krishna is not somewhere far away; He is experienced within when the heart becomes love, the mind becomes silent, and life itself becomes a celebration.
Where there is love, there is Krishna.
Where there is joy, there is celebration.
And where the ego becomes silent, divinity is born.
